About Us

I am the Technology Instructional Specialist (coach) for the Coeur d'Alene School District. In 2005, I received my Bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University in Secondary English Education. From there, I moved to Southern California and began my career as a middle school reading intervention teacher. After two years, I moved to a local high school and spent five more years as a high school English teacher, while working toward my Master's degree in Educational Technology. During this time, my wife and I were blessed with a daughter, who is now almost eight years old.

We moved back to Idaho in 2012 and are enjoying being back in the area and close to family. Since then, we've welcomed our son into our family who is almost two years old now.

My main job entails working with teachers in the Coeur d'Alene School District and helping to incorporate technology into classroom routines so students are actively engaged and moving toward competencies in the NETS-S and NETS-T, technology standards for students and teachers. I am a proponent of student use of technology in the classroom and the use of cloud-based and Web 2.0 technologies. I see technology as a tool that teachers can, and should, use to engage students, help them build personal efficacy, as well as hone skills that will allow them to become productive and successful members of our society.
